To insure top quality instruction, all Instructors must graduate with honors from the United Studios Instructors Academy. The Academy is taught by Senior Instructors that have been training in martial arts and managing studios for over ten years. Our Instructors must constantly refine their teaching and organizational skills to make your Martial Arts training experience exciting and enjoyable. Upon completion of this unique training course, we certify them to teach the United Studios of Self Defense System. Fully qualified, they are prepared to help you with all aspects of your Martial Arts’ Training.

Instructors participate in weekly training sessions taught by Master Instructors as well as 10th Degree Black Belt and United Studios founder Professor Charles Mattera.

We continually upgrade the teaching skills of all United Studios of Self Defense Black Belt Instructors. Our effective United Studios of Self Defense System will give you the upper hand in situations that can happen anytime, anywhere.

Ms. Linda Tomasello

"I have been an Instructor with United Studios of Self Defense for over twenty-three years. I received my 4th Degree Black Belt at the Shaolin Temple in China from Professor Charles Mattera, Grandmaster Steve DeMasco, and the Abbot of the Shaolin Temple. During our pilgrimage to China, the Abbot of the Shaolin Temple made all United Studios Instructors and students Disciples of the Shaolin Temple. United Studios is the only American martial arts organization to have ever received this honor. Because of this great honor, all students who achieve rank at United Studios are also recognized for their achievements at the Temple.

I have owned the Belmont location for over eighteen years and am an active member in the Belmont community. I am a member of the Belmont Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and am President of the Carlmont Merchants Association. I also worked as the martial arts Instructor at Notre Dame High School for 6 years.

Education is very important to me. All students who enroll at my studio receive a 10% program donation back to their school. This program is called the “Contribution to Education Program” and this money over the years has been used to improve classrooms and aide in music and sports programs. It is a program that is only done at my school and one that I am very proud of sponsoring.

My hope for you as a student is that you can experience the magic of the martial arts as much as I have, and enjoying learning martial arts as much as I enjoy teaching it."
